If you plan on joining your kids in the park, there’s a fee, but adults with kids aged 7 and under get a sweet deal—half price! But if you’d rather kick back and relax, you can watch from the grassy areas or beachside at no charge.

Pro Tip:

Splish Splash Water Park is available for private bookings. Whether it’s a birthday party, a team celebration, or a big family gathering, this spot is a hit—just be sure to book early because spots tend to fill up fast!

With bumper boats, you can bump into targets in the pool to activate totem poles that spray water on unsuspecting victims. There are also soaker guns grounded around the area, where you can happily spray family and friends.

Of course, our fun doesn’t stop with water—it has a tiny course specifically for kids ages 4-6. For those aged 7 and up, there’s a larger race track with two different types of go-karts to choose from.

Pro Tip:

Be prepared for some long lineups at the Grand Prix, especially on weekends and during peak hours.

Right next to the splash pad, there’s a cute little park with small slides and sandpits, so the kids can switch gears and continue their fun on dry land. There’s also plenty of space for adults to enjoy a game of football or basketball nearby.

Pro Tip:

Unfortunately, the benches and picnic tables at the Waverley Heights Splash Park are not shaded. But, since there are trees nearby that provide some shade, we always bring a comfy chair or a picnic blanket and set up under those areas instead.

One thing you’ll love about this place is that it never feels overcrowded. We can easily relax under the shade of the many trees or snag a picnic table for a bite to eat.

One of the best parts about the park is how clean and well-maintained everything is—the water is crystal clear, and the whole pool area is spotless. The outdoor pool is heated, and lifeguards are always on duty.

You’ll also find plenty of beach-entry play features for little ones to wade in, as well as diving boards.

If you’re planning to stay for the day (which you’ll definitely want to!), there are plenty of picnic tables, shaded areas, and lounge chairs to set up camp. We recommend packing a lunch and enjoying poolside snacks under an umbrella while the kids keep playing.

Perfect for kids 12 and under, Dakota Park Wading Pool is a free water park that has everything you need to keep little ones entertained.

We go here for the wading pool, which has a slide for kids and plenty of splash pad features like spray fountains and water cannons. For our littlest swimmers, there’s a smaller pool for babies and toddlers to splash around safely.

The layout is great, and I really like the soft material underfoot that’s easy on our bare feet. There’s also a fun beach entry and lots of trees providing shade, grassy areas to relax, benches, and picnic tables scattered around.

Pro Tip:

Because it’s so popular, the lines can get pretty long! Only 69 people are allowed in at a time, so if you want to snag a spot without waiting forever, aim to arrive before the park opens.
