9 Best Hot Yoga Studios in Winnipeg for a Killer Workout with a Side of Zen

I tried yoga with a friend once, and honestly, I didn’t quite get the hype. It was relaxing, sure, but I was craving something more intense—something that would really help me sweat out the stress of a long workweek.

That same friend, seeing my disappointment, suggested we try hot yoga instead.

Hot yoga is an entirely different beast—where traditional yoga meets a heated room. “It’ll take yoga to the next level,” she promised.

Intrigued, I gave it a try, and wow—was I hooked! The heat, the intensity, the post-yoga bliss—it was exactly what I’d been missing.

That’s why I decided to explore the best hot yoga studios in Winnipeg. After visiting some of the city’s top spots, I’m here to share my favorites with you.

Studio Hot Yoga is a down-to-earth studio in North Winnipeg. They provide in-person and virtual classes, so no matter where you are, you can get your yoga on.

Their most popular signature class is their Salt Sequence—a foundational heated yoga practice in a Hatha style, which consists of 40 postures. I found the steady pace of the class really helpful, as it gave me time to settle into each pose and focus on my form.

For a more flowing, fast-paced experience, they have Salt Flow. This is a classic hot Vinyasa-style class where you move through a set sequence of postures in a rhythmic flow—perfect for days when you want to really sweat it out.

Want something more challenging? Their Freedom Flow is an intermediate to advanced class—a dynamic Vinyasa practice that really tests your strength.

Pro Tip:

Not sure which class to try? Salt Studio’s Trial Month is a fantastic option for newcomers—30 days of unlimited in-studio and virtual classes—so you can dip into their offerings and see what fits your vibe best.

Hours: Mon – Fri: 7 AM – 8 PM

Modo Yoga, formerly Moksha Yoga, is warm, welcoming, and rooted in tradition. Co-founded by Jessica, who brings deep yoga knowledge from her studies in medicine and Buddhism, the studio offers classes for all levels.

For beginners, we think the Modo class is a great place to start; with temps between 100-103°F (37-39°C), it’s hot but manageable. The class also features 40 postures held for 30-45 seconds, designed to build strength, flexibility, and endurance.

If you’re ready for more of a challenge, Modo Level 2 takes things up a notch. It’s an intermediate class with a similar flow but includes a short meditation and a longer savasana at the end.

What we admire about them is their weekly karma class, where donations go to local nonprofits. It’s a great way to give back and try out hot yoga on a budget.

Pro Tip:

If you’re a total beginner or want to ease into hot yoga at your own pace, check out their 7-Day Intro to Modo Yoga: From Home to Hot Room. It’s a free online series designed to help you learn the basics of Modo Yoga at home.

His Hot Flow class is a must-try—it combines traditional vinyasa with a modern twist, linking Sun Salutations and strength-building postures into a smooth, flowing sequence. I love that it’s physically challenging but also mentally calming.

For a slower, more meditative practice, their Hot Yin class is the perfect balance to all the more active “yang” styles. It’s not physically intense, but it leaves you feeling deeply relaxed and rejuvenated.

We also appreciate their Community Class, which is only $5. It’s a great way to practice on a budget while supporting newer instructors as they gain experience.

Pro Tip:

During the winter months, make sure to pre-register for classes in the hot room—spots at Awesome Hot Yoga fill up fast when the weather gets cold.

It features two beautiful yoga spaces—one heated and one unheated. The heated room has a temperature of 105°F (40°C) with 40% humidity, so get ready to sweat (because we sure did!).

The studio also has a great variety of classes, but their Original Hot Yoga series is the most popular one. It’s a 90-minute class that guides you through 26 postures (asanas) and 2 breathing exercises.

Pro Tip:

If you’re new to hot yoga or just not ready to dive into 90 minutes of intense heat, no worries! They offer Original Hot Yoga 60 (OHY 60), a shorter, 60-minute version where you’ll do each posture only once, so it’s a bit more manageable.

One of their most popular classes is Hot Core, which focuses on building core strength and improving spinal mobility. If you’re looking to tighten your core and strengthen your back, we recommend this class to try.
