Spruce Woods is a fantastic spot for campers wanting to explore Manitoba’s outdoors. It’s known as the best equestrian campground in Manitoba!
Its Equestrian Barn Campground is a cozy site with a little something for everyone. It has 10 campsites, both electrical and non-electrical, each complete with a fire pit for those quintessential campfire nights.
We love its budget-friendly rates, with basic sites at $20.75 per night and electrical sites for just a few dollars more at $24.95.
Another popular spot is Canoe Landing Campground, tucked along the Assiniboine River. This site has a more rustic vibe with pens for horses, fire pits for cooking, and simple amenities like a solar shower and pit privies, keeping it simple yet charming.
Pro Tip: While the campground officially “closes” during fall and winter, camping is still allowed at designated Spruce Woods campsites. Just keep in mind that amenities like running water won’t be available—so plan ahead! |

Nopiming Provincial Park, or “Entrance to the Wilderness” as it’s called in the Anishinabe language, is the perfect place to dive into Manitoba’s wild beauty. Here, you have four campgrounds to choose from and three popular lodges.
Beresford Campground is one of the most popular spots, especially if you’re into fishing and water activities. This campground has a fish cleaning station ready to use, making it super convenient to clean and prep your catch right on the spot.
Another favorite is Tulabi Lake Campground, which offers both regular campsites and a bit of glamping with its six yurts. You’ll find 17 basic sites and 19 with electricity, so there are options for every style of camper.
Most campsites in Nopiming are set up with fire pits and picnic tables, and while boat launches, drinking water, and outdoor privies are available, firewood isn’t included. We suggest picking some up nearby if you want that crackling fire experience.
Pro Tip: If you’re planning to explore the trails at Nopiming, keep an eye out for poison ivy! It’s rare, but it does pop up in a few spots. |

One of the popular camping options is the Front 7 & 52 sites, which sit right across from the Tiki Bar. These sites are a blend of grass and limestone pads, offering a shady, comfortable setup thanks to the towering elms and poplars.
We love that your furry (or feathered) family members can join in on the vacation fun too! Just remember to keep pets leashed and clean up after them to help keep the grounds beautiful for everyone.
There’s also plenty of entertainment to keep everyone busy. You can relax on the tropical sun deck, unwind in a hot tub, or even dance in the sand by bonfires and Tiki torches when the evening lights up.
Pro Tip: For a quieter camping spot away from the highway, the Pond & Stage Sites are perfect, accommodating 40-foot rigs with 30-amp full hook-ups. Located near the main stage, sports courts, and playground, they offer easy access to top amenities. |
