Winnipeg Hosts Still I Rise Conference on Gender-Based Violence This May 2025

This May 14, the National Still I Rise Conference returns to Winnipeg, and it’s more than just a conference.

You can expect a full day dedicated to empowering stories about gender-based violence through keynote speeches and breakout sessions with other guests. 

The conference is hosted by the Elmwood Community Resource Centre and will be at the Canadian Mennonite University from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. 

They’re all about creating a safe space that brings together survivors, advocates, and community members who want to hear and be heard.
